The Newhall’s were one of the famous families of Philadelphia and Haverford cricket. In the photo below, taken in 1901, there are eleven Newhalls dressed for cricket (they played against Baltimore) and two older members of the family. In the photo, Allerton (in the lower left) is clearly wearing his Haverford Team sweater.
