Percy H. Clark was another fine Philadelphia bowler, considered second only to King. During international play, he was often paired with Bart King and together they were a particularly effective 1-2 combination. Percy started playing with Young America Juniors in 1885 but was not bowling yet. By 1889 he was bowling and coming into his own. That year, the juniors from revia 50 mg Tioga played the juniors of Young America in a low scoring match. Percy took seven wickets for 20, five of them clean bowled while King turned back nine men for only 6 runs, eight clean bowled. A minor match at the time … but an event marking the start of the ascendancy of Philadelphia cricket to a world class level.
